Live from the photokina - the make.tv conference-tool

photokina 2010 - world of imaging
Again, Make.tv was present at the world's biggest biennial photo trade fair, the photokina in Cologne. The whole stage program of hall 5.1 - Manfrotto Center Stage - was broadcasted LIVE via make.tv. The recordings are still available at http://make.tv/photokina. At the same time we're presenting for the first time our extended make.tv conference-tool. This new function enables whitelable customers to converge multiple make.tv channels and present these in an individual design.

This special micro-site is particularly useful if different workshops are taking place at the same time or if on-demand-content (live-to-tape) is added. No more searching for different content - everything can be seen at the first glance and is immediately accessible, live-as well as on-demand-content. Within the conference-micro-site, it's possible to search for different content, speakers or tags, the search results are displayed immediately. Furthermore, an individually adjustable Twitter-Feed keeps you informed about the event-related comments of your users. Now the really great thing about the conference-micro-site is, that it is filled automatically with content, simply by producing and broadcasting your shows via make.tv. An additional value for every conference or trade fair!

Talk-Back - adress your viewers!

New TALK-Back function in the make.tv Studio
The new make.tv Studio version 1.4.7 enables you to address your viewers directly via the new function TALK-Back. And instead of using a text chat you can simply use an audio signal. You can address the viewer that want to connect to your show easily by pressing the TALK-button in your studio. You can find this button, if you click on a participant of your show in the viewer list of your chat.

List of viewers in the make.tv Studio
Pressing the TALK-button opens a message in the private studio chat of your viewers player "Incoming voice message from the stage direction", the audio signal of the show is turned down and and simultaneously the viewer hears your message via the connected speakers. This feature is especially useful, if you already have the signal of the connected viewer in your studio and you simply want to adjust the video and audio signals. You can hear the viewer and vice versa even if the viewer is not live in the show yet.
Everything is easier if you can communicate directly and you don't have to type every instruction in the chat. The new TALK-Back function not only works in connection to a player (user invite) but you can also communicate between all all opened studios. Just click on the small "T" symbol in one of your inputs and the respective crew member can hear you.
